Gazebo Deck
Now is the time to start planning for summer projects. For many of you, that means planning and building a deck or gazebo. This week's project will help you to tackle both with clear and concise instructions illustrating how to build a modular design that will fit you budget and your do-it-yourself sensibilities. Our design features three different components; a main deck, a picnic or barbecue extension, and a ten-foot diameter gazebo. While a little more expensive than our usual plans, this all-inclusive blueprint shows how to build all three. The main, or central deck, can be made to two different sizes; 12-feet by 12-feet, or 12-feet by 16-feet. At either end of the deck, you may decide to attach an octagonal barbecue extension, an eight-sided gazebo, or both. Each optional component is built in the same manner, so once you've mastered one, the second is a breeze. Our detailed plans also show how to add screened panels to the gazebo so you can enjoy summertime meals without being pestered by insects. Pattern No. 90035.
