That's because we've taken what looks to be a complex project with difficult joints and designed it using only tools and skills that are common to the everyday homeowner or hobbyist.

As well, we've made use of only stock pieces of lumber that you can buy at any home center or lumber store. So, there's no need to use a thickness planer or other expensive tool.

The project is made easier still by our full-size, professionally drawn plans. All you have to do is trace the parts on to your wood and saw them out. The plan then tells you how to put the pieces together using simple joinery techniques. It even shows the exact placement of all nails and screws.

When complete, the rocking bench measures approximately 52 inches in length.
