5027 - Rocking Cow - Infants and small children love the rocking motion – hence the rocking horse which has long been a fixture in the nursery, providing hours of entertainment while also developing the child’s motor skills. Now, however, its time for a change – it’s the Year of the Cow!
Each cow rocker is truly unique, since you paint on the eyes, mouth and markings after construction to make the cow as realistic - or as fanciful - as you wish.
Our rocking cow project has been drawn to full-size on a pattern that you can trace directly on to your wood. Then, simply saw, sand and assemble each piece.
Once constructed, the real fun begins as you paint the toy as you see fit. We used black paint and clear stain for this bovine beauty.
Painting instructions have been included with our plan, but don't hesitate to come up with designs of your own.
Built almost entirely from pine, this project is sturdy enough to last for years. Only basic tools are required and even a novice can tackle the cow with confidence. Finished, the cow measures approximately 46-inches long, 12-inches wide and 28-inches tall. Pattern No. 5027.
