5016 - Toy Chest - This beautiful toy chest will grow with your child. Based on the design of our ever-popular hope chest, this classic design will easily transform itself into the extra clothes storage you'll need as your child grows older.

Finished with a clear natural stain, as shown here, the toy chest will fit into any room and décor. Inside the chest is a sliding tray in which you can store smaller toys. If you choose, you can build two drawers in the base of the unit as we did here or, for those kids with lots of toys, make the chest deeper and use false drawer fronts for decoration only.

No special woodworking talents or tools are needed to complete this project. Besides drawing a plan that is clear and concise, we were also careful to use construction methods that would simplify the whole process. The pattern tells you what material to buy, what to saw out and what to assemble. Full-size templates are included for all contoured cuts.

Completed, the chest stands 43 inches wide, 23 inches tall and 23 inches deep.
