I always adored my grandmother's pie safe. As a kid, I couldn't tell you what kind of wood it was made from or how it was built, but I sure do remember just about every pie that went into it!Now, you too can make a pair of beautiful pie safes from our easy-to-follow plans. Of course, you don't have to use yours for storing pies. We designed ours with ample space so they can be modified to house just about anything, from stereos to books, and more.
BONUS PLANS: Save and order a second pie safe design that uses fanciful pierced copper sheets for the door panels, as well as our ever-popular potato bin project.
In the design shown here, measuring 33-inches wide and 56-inches tall, we used mesh panels for the doors, and the simplest joinery techniques to save you both time and effort.
Besides detailed instructions, complete materials lists, and lots of illustrations and diagrams, the plans for these projects also come with full-size patterns for the projects’ curved parts.
To make your work easier, we can also provide you with a few sheets of over-size carbon paper which you can use to transfer your designs onto your wood Pattern No. CC11.
