This cleverly designed unit just might be the most versatile piece of furniture in your house. In one position, it is a highly portable seat, and in another it becomes a stool which gives you access to those otherwise unreachable areas. Think about your over-the-counter kitchen cupboards – if they are of standard design, and if you are not basketball-player height, those top shelves are essentially unusable storage space.

The advantage of this combined seat/step stool is that it is attractive enough that you can keep it close by, to give you safe access to heights - compared to a folding painter’s stool which would be hidden away in a closet (and therefore probably unused).
