BONUS PLANS: This project is much simpler to make if you have a router table and a good quality workbench. You can save $20 and receive plans for these projects as well when ordered with the wainscoting pattern.

And, while making and installing custom wainscoting may look complicated, all the moldings can be made in your garage or workshop using a table saw, router table and four common router bits. This allows you control over how the finished product looks. But the real advantage is flexibility. You'll discover how to vary the width of the plywood panels to adapt to any length of wall.
