The project's straight lines and uniform construction make it an ideal project for the novice hobbyist. Start with a good wood that's well suited for outdoor use, and in a weekend or so, you'll have made a garden fixture that will last for years.

Our plan calls for solid, two by two inch lumber for the frame of the project and makes use of lap joints for sturdy but straightforward construction. The back legs and the slat supports are the only two items that require curved cuts but full-size patterns makes it easy to transfer these parts right onto your wood. Otherwise, the pattern will tell you what material to buy, what to cut, and then ties everything together with a series of easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions and illustrations.
